The People Promise

The NHS People Promise is designed to ensure that everyone who works in the NHS is valued and supported, fostering an environment where employees can thrive.

The People Promise outlines a vision for how NHS staff should experience their work life, aiming to improve staff satisfaction, retention, and overall well-being.

The People Promise recognises everyone is unique. Each one of the 1.3 million people across the NHS needs to belong, feel part of a wider team and feel heard.
The People Promise was co-designed with staff across the breadth of the NHS, although it feels a new concept to general practice.
Everybody in general practice cares about people. Our People Promise work gives you a suite of additional tools and resources to support one another; to enable you to continue to thrive and develop at work.

The themes below create a positive, supportive, and inclusive workplace culture, ensuring that staff feel valued and motivated to deliver high-quality care to patients.
