Adult Sleep Training

We are currently providing 20 available places for adult sleep training through the Sleep Well Academy. This opportunity allows participants a 90-day window to complete a comprehensive 5-module online course provided by the Sleep Well Academy. Places will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, the application deadline is the 18th December 2023, and the course access will commence in January.

 

The course encompasses the following modules: Understanding Adult Sleep - An introductory module designed for those seeking to expand their knowledge of adult sleep. It provides insights into the causes of sleep issues and offers practical strategies for individuals to try.

Additionally, it explores how understanding adult sleep can benefit various aspects of professional work. What is insomnia? This module delves into the development of insomnia, the importance of diagnosis, associated consequences, and the application of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBTi) in its treatment.

Managing Sleep through the menopause - This module explores the significant impact of menopause as a trigger for insomnia, considering both physiological and psychological changes that women undergo during this phase. Sleep and Mental Health - Examining the intricate relationship between sleep and mental health, this module addresses sleep problems associated with mental health issues and explores how effective treatment can improve both areas.

Sleep and Ageing - Dispelling misconceptions about declining sleep needs with age, this module investigates why sleep becomes more vulnerable as we age. It also addresses common sleep issues experienced by older adults
