Taking place on Tuesday 14 October 2025 at RTC Business Park, Derby, this full-day event offers high-quality clinical and non-clinical learning at an exceptionally affordable rate of £45 for Derbyshire GPs (or £85 for colleagues outside the county), with lunch included

Meet our Clinical Presentation Speakers

Dr Meenu Pandey – paediatric emergency medicine consultant at UHDB – with over 17 years of paediatric experience across India and the UK, working for change at local and national levels. She’s ideally placed to pick out key hot topics in paeds to update us on.

Mr Ahmed El-Sharkawy – cancer surgeon specialising in upper GI at UHDB, brimming with enthusiasm to educate  - expect useful updates from reflux and PPIs to feeding methods via PEG etc

Dr Deepak Subramanian – respiratory and integrated care consultant at UHDB – leading locally on asthma, ImpACT+ and the respiratory virtual ward as well as Clinical Director of the East Midlands Respiratory Clinical Network. He’ll take us through recent changes in asthma management as well as common areas where GPs seek advice.

Dr Gillian Sare  - neurology consultant from NUH where she heads up the Neurology service. Her interests include movement disorders and she’ll be coming to talk to us about tremor and functional neurological disorders.

Dr Valeed Ghafoor travels down to us from Manchester and describes himself as a strategic healthcare leader and GP Partner with a proven track record in national-scale implementation across primary care, patient access, chronic disease pathways, and workforce development. He’ll share his expertise in AI in primary care with us – an opportunity to bring your burning questions!

Dr Susie Bayley – a Derbyshire trained GP with a wealth of experience as both a doctor and in leadership roles -  now Medical Director at our own Hub+. A compassionate coach and leader, she’ll be taking us through trauma informed practice  - reducing burnout and improving care.

Jonathon Roach – personal trainer to paralympic level and health coach, supporting the Hub+ as a health improvement adviser; expect a fun practical session looking at our own wellbeing with a focus on posture and back pain.
