Who are The Hub Plus?

Our Journey

Since 2016, the General Practice Task Force (GPTF) has grown and evolved to meet the changing needs of primary care. In 2023, we refreshed our identity to become The Hub Plus—a name that better reflects our renewed energy, values, and vision.

We remain committed to supporting general practice teams, partners, and the wider primary care community across Derby, Derbyshire, and beyond.

Who are The Hub Plus?

The Hub Plus is more than just a training hub. We are the result of a powerful collaboration between two respected organisations:

  • General Practice Task Force (GPTF)
  • Health Education Derbyshire (HED)

By combining our strengths, we’ve created a streamlined, unified resource that delivers high-quality support, training, and development opportunities for the entire primary care workforce.

What We Do

Since being awarded the NHSE Primary Care Training Hub contract in 2023, we’ve delivered:

  • Over 2,500 training places annually
  • Support for staff wellbeing, leadership, retention, and apprenticeships
  • Open access to training for every practice in Derbyshire

Every practice in the region benefits from at least one of our initiatives.
