Learning Objectives: 

Delegates will understand the makeup of General Practice finances including monitoring income, expenditure and how to have financial conversations with partners. 

1. Gaining perspective on where to spend time/effort in managing practice finances
2. Understand the elements of how Carr-Hill formula works in calculating the global sum and factors
3. Know types of funding & discuss ways in which practices can maximise their income (e.g., coding, growing list size)
4. Tools on measuring financial performance of the practice and costing services including financial reports
5. Strategies to discuss finances with GP partners
6. Understand cash flow forecast example (pre-work)
7. Importance of record keeping (pre-work)​
