The outcomes and commitments can then be fed back to the community to support an ongoing dialogue between health and patients.
The learning outcomes are:
- To increase the awareness of the unique challenges, perspectives of the Black Community in Derby with respect to mental illness.
- To hear patient experiences to support improved understanding and therefore improved care.
- To understand the barriers to seeking care and the varied techniques which may help overcome these barriers.
- To support a proactive, preventative approach to supporting mental health in our black communities.
