Adult/Child Immunisations Update – covers UK routine and selective vaccination schedule for adults and children/babies. Suitable for registered and unregistered Healthcare Professionals (HCPs). This full day training session is for vaccinators who have completed New Immunisers’ (2-day) Foundation course and are involved in UK routine vaccination programmes.
Course content:
Current issues in vaccination
Recent epidemiology of vaccine preventable diseases
Any changes to the National Immunisation Schedule
Any changes to legislation relevant to vaccination
Anaphylaxis recognition and management
Review of current practice and identification of areas for improvement
Q & A session for commonly encountered problems in practice
All training delivered is in line with PHE (2018) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Professionals, PHE 2015 National Minimum Standards & Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Healthcare Support Workers&Resuscitation Council (UK) 2021 Guidelines
