Facilitators:

Carmen Villegas-Galvez is a clinical pharmacist specialising in diabetes who is the clinical lead for long term conditions at Inspire Health in Chesterfield.

Kriss Owen is a GP at Littlewick Medical Centre in Ilkeston specialising in diabetes and is also GP clinical lead for diabetes for Derby and Derbyshire ICB.

They have really enjoyed delivering the previous 3 treatment targets sessions together in a very interactive way to groups of 15-25 participants. The feedback is that the sessions have been enjoyable and really improved clinicians’ confidence in managing diabetes.

Participants:

The sessions are aimed at practice nurses, GPs and pharmacists of any level of experience. HCAs, trainee nursing associates and health coaches have also found the sessions useful, although the level of detail on prescribing will be more than they need for their job role.

HbA1c:

An opportunity to learn everything you need to know on managing HbA1c for people with diabetes in primary care. The session is accredited for health professionals by Eden.
