This webinar covers the main welfare benefits including the distinction between contributory, means-tested and health-tested benefits - exploring how various benefits fit together to provide financial support.

Open to General Practice Staff working in Derby/Derbyshire with little or no existing knowledge of the benefits system and who provide benefit support to patients .

Course contains:

• The distinction between contributory, means-tested and health-tested benefits
• The distinction between the working-age and pension-age systems
• An overview of the main benefits, and their qualifying criteria
• The relationship between Universal Credit and the other benefits

Due to funding restraints and reduced budgets, in addition to a high number of cancellations, we have had no choice but to introduce this policy.
