Practice Manager Development Lead

We are team who delivers, and has big plans and ideas to continue to support our brilliant General Practice Team in Derby and Derbyshire. We are a single point of access for training, support and development ensuring there is complete ‘wraparound’ team support, whether clinical, non-clinical, managerial or leadership.

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual for this exciting role to join our amazing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with The Hub Plus bank facilitators and the team to design and deliver training programmes.
  • Ensure training content reflects real-world practice management challenges and best practice from recruitment to late careers.
  • Work with partners to include simulation training for real world scenarios
  • Lead the Practice Manager Induction course and support the Partnership Development Programme, ensuring content is up-to-date, practical, and engaging.
  • Deliver presentations and workshops to managers, leaders, and multidisciplinary staff groups.
  • Support other non-clinical roles with education and training pilots and delivery.
  • Audit GP practice training and learning and recommend training action plans
  • Maintain and develop strong professional relationships with practice managers and GP practice staff and  the team.
  • Work closely with the  team to ensure programmes are planned, resourced, quality assured, and delivered effectively.
  • Work with the L&D Manager to quality assure (QA) programme content and delivery.

Is this you?

  • Is currently or recently employed in a GP Practice. 
  • Has strong, up-to-date knowledge of general practice operations, compliance, workforce, and service delivery including HR, CQC, finance and business
  • Shows proven ability to present confidently to groups of Clinicians, managers, leaders, and staff.
  • Has excellent communication, facilitation, and collaborative working skills.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to build trust and credibility with practice staff and peers partnering with them with a coaching approach.
  • Has the ability to translate complex issues into practical training and guidance.
  • Has experience in supporting quality improvement or change management initiatives within practices.
  • Has a clean UK Driving Licence  with an ability to travel across Derbyshire.
  • Undertands local and national primary care policy and development agendas.

The Offer

  • Salary: Competitive       
  • Hours: Flexible up to 15 hours per week
  • Location: RTC offices, London Road, Derby DE24 8UP with some hybrid/ remote working
  • Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027
