This session explores the importance of cultural sensitivity in general practice, focusing on how non-clinical staff can create an inclusive and respectful environment for all patients.

Pharmacy First Training: 14:35 - 15:30
This Pharmacy First training session is aimed at GP Practice team members who are involved in patient triage such as reception teams and care co-ordinators. The session covers information on Pharmacy First, followed by a practical session on how to do a referral to a community pharmacy on PharmOutcomes. This training has been delivered in several GP Practices, and staff feedback is really positive. Staff said the training was really useful. Staff particularly liked the practical on undertaking a referral.

  • Pharmacy First Service Information on what services community pharmacy offer.
  • Who is appropriate for referral to a community pharmacy.
  • What a patient can expect once referred including the cost of any treatment.
  • How to do an electronic referral to a community pharmacy.
  • Useful resources will be shared.
