GP CPD Grant

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our 1st cohort for Derbyshire Portfolio Development CPD Grant Scheme.

To support the development of the general practice workforce across Derbyshire by offering targeted clinical CPD grants to individuals working in the general practice workforce.  Open to Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), General Practitioners (GPs), and any clinicians not eligible for Nurse and AHP NHSE CPD funding. You must be working in Derbyshire

The scheme will be aligned with the strategic priorities of the Derby & Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), and the NHS Long Term Plan with a focus on neighbourhood working, integration, and reducing health inequalities by building additional community-based clinical expertise.

The review panel will consider how well your course subject aligns with priorities and those outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.

What does the Derbyshire CPD Grant Scheme include?

Up to £3,000 for the approved eligible role to undertake a training course or education.

Eligible roles:

  • Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs), General Practitioners (GPs), and any clinicians not eligible for Nurse and AHP NHSE CPD funding
  • You must be working in Derbyshire

Exclusions:

  • Eligible roles for NHSE CPD funding are not eligible for this funding, if you do fall under this category please click here to apply for your CPD funding : thehubplus.co.uk/cpd-funding

This grant does not fund equipment, travel expenses, accommodation or backfill time for attendance.

Applications are open from 09th March 2026 and close 06th April 2026

Panel reviews will take place W/C 13th April 2026. The review panel will consider how well your course subject aligns with priorities and those outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.

Applicants notified of outcome W/C 20th April.
