 Aim:

To celebrate Black History Month by honouring the experiences, contributions and legacy of Black communities, while bringing primary care colleagues together through shared learning, cultural experiences and meaningful conversations.

Places are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. Booking closes on 14 September

Highlights include:

• A talk from Dr Rumbi Mutenga, GP Registrar and former midwife, who will share her experiences as a Black healthcare professional
• Sample Afro-Caribbean cuisine
• Take part in an energising African drumming workshop​

By attending this event, participants will be able to:

• Recognise the contributions, resilience and impact of Black communities within healthcare and wider society.
• Gain insight into the experiences of a Black healthcare professional through a personal presentation from Dr Rumbi Mutenga, GP Registrar and former midwife.
• Explore how cultural understanding and inclusion can strengthen workplace relationships and patient care.
• Build connections with colleagues through interactive activities that promote collaboration and community

Suitable for all primary care staff with an interest in equality, diversity and inclusion, cultural awareness, community engagement and celebrating diversity within the workforce.
