Aim:
Learn practical tools to support colleagues from underrepresented backgrounds

This session gives you practical tools to support colleagues from underrepresented backgrounds in your day-to-day work. Covers active bystander techniques, how to challenge inappropriate behaviour constructively, and building a culture where everyone feels they belong.

The session will be lead by Dr Shehla Imtiaz-Umer, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Director at The Hub Plus Derbyshire.

Learning Outcomes:

After this session attendees will have a greater understanding of the following: 

• How to support colleagues from underrepresented backgrounds
• How to develop active bystander skills to respond confidently when issues arise
• How to challenge inappropriate behaviour constructively and respectfully
• How to help create an inclusive culture where everyone feels valued and belongs
