Introduction to travel health - 2 Day Course

This two day Introduction to Travel Health course is intended for nurses/health professionals who may be new to the field of Travel Health, those returning to travel health after a long gap, or for those already practicing who may not have undertaken formal training in the subject and who wish to update and expand on their current knowledge.

5. Non-vaccine preventable diseases
6. Other health risks
7. Case studies and scheduling of vaccines
8. Legal aspects and responsibilities of the travel health practitioner
9. Malaria
10. Mosquito borne diseases
11. The complex traveller
12. FGM & the travel consultation
13. Covid-19 & advising travellers   

​All training delivered is in line withPHE (2018) National Minimum Standards and Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Registered Healthcare Professionals, PHE2015 National Minimum Standards & Core Curriculum for Immunisation Training for Healthcare Support Workers&Resuscitation Council (UK) 2021 Guidelines​

This course is CPD funded -Any cost incurred for non-attendance to the CPD Training will be deducted from your CPD funding. Substitution of candidates is not allowed due to allocations being awarded on an individual basis.
