Course Overview:

Lipid Optimisation for Cardiovascular Disease Prevention- An educational session designed for primary care clinicians with an interest in improving cardiovascular risk management through lipid optimisation. This session equips clinicians with the knowledge and practical strategies needed to optimise lipid management, support cholesterol control, and provide essential public health advice. By attending, you will strengthen their ability to make informed, evidence-based decisions that improve patient outcomes in cardiovascular care.

  • Importance of lipid lowering in CVD prevention
  • Awareness of national and local lipid lowering guidelines
  • Understand the interventions for lipid lowering: including lifestyle measures and medication options
  • Know who to refer to lipid clinic for specialist review
