Course Overview:

This one-day course is designed to provide Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) and Nurses working in general practice with the essential knowledge and practical skills to perform ear irrigation confidently and safely. The course aims to empower support workers, HCAs, and nurses to carry out this procedure as part of their expanded role in primary care, reducing patient discomfort and improving clinical outcomes.

Participants will receive a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training, which, alongside mentorship in the clinical setting, will ensure that they are well-equipped to carry out ear irrigation competently. This course not only focuses on safe and effective ear care but also explores the role of the practitioner in preventing ear-related problems and managing patient care more efficiently.
